Ernest Hemingway's A Moveable Feast is an autobiographical series of vignettes set in Paris before he became well known.  Among his circle of friends were a number of artists working in different media.  Some were famous, some were yet to be famous and others have been largely forgotten.  The book is notable to me, because it reveals the nature of the characters without much fuss.  They are simply people, working or failing at their crafts, living a life.

I seem to know a fair number of people who create art in different media; from poetry, painting, photography, architecture, acting and dance, to film-making, clothing design and woodwork.  I can't write, as should be plainly obvious from this introduction, but I am interested in exploring, in the only means I know how, the personalities of the people that I know who create art.  Please enjoy this exploration of some of the artists that I know.
